We founded Holvi in 2011, in Helsinki. As self-employed people wading through oceans of paperwork, we noticed something funny going on - traditional banks were giving us the cold shoulder. Why not help ourselves? We asked. And so, with time and effort (and lots of coffee), we mastered small business finance - and Holvi was born.
Our vision is simple: Eliminate the distractions of financial admin and simplify work life, because running a business is hard enough. Small businesses shouldn’t have to worry about spreadsheets and lost receipts.

Right now, we’re looking for a Business Lead for our self-employed customer segment to join our team in Berlin. If you want to help us make self-employment a little easier, Holvi is for you.
**Expanding Self-Employed Markets: Business Lead's Role**
As the Business Lead, you oversee the commercial aspects of our self-employed customer segment. Your primary objective in this role is to expand the customer base within the German and Finnish markets. This involves driving growth initiatives across the company and coordinating everything from making sure the right things are being developed to supporting the marketing team in product launches. Your responsibilities include understanding the specific needs and dynamics of the customer segment as well as identifying business opportunities.
**A typical day could see you**:
- Collaborating with product development teams to ensure that right items are being developed to meet the customer needs
- Working together with the marketing team to identify sales and marketing angles for both new and existing products to strengthen their market positioning and reach
- Optimizing the inflow and acceptance of customers to improve the conversion rate
- Turning research into hands-on initiatives, actively engaging with target groups, verticals, competitors, and growth opportunities to drive tangible results
- Engaging in customer and partner meetings, as well as attending events in Germany
- Analyzing and extracting data such as conversion rate, activities, lifetime value, ARPU and churn
**Requirements**:
**This is for you if you**:
- Have + 5 years previous experience from a similar commercial role in the German market, ideally in the fintech or accounting industry
- Proven track record of expanding a company's growth and development in the German market
- Are an independent team player with excellent coordination and communication skills
- Are fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
- Get excited by numbers, growth and challenges
- Are curious and love learning new things
- Are not afraid of rolling up your sleeves and you have a proactive attitude
- Are comfortable with traveling 4-6 times / year to the Helsinki office
**It's a plus if you**:
- Have experience from the Nordic or Austrian market in addition to the German market
