Founding Sales and Marketing Lead

Zapdeck is on its way to becoming one of Germany's leading AI start-ups. We are building an innovative AI software for creating presentations that is technologically highly innovative and has great scaling potential.
We are looking for an experienced Sales and Marketing Lead to join our team as a founding team member. The role is associated with a high degree of creative freedom and responsibility and is combined with an attractive equity share (VSOP).
About Zapdeck
In the German and English-speaking markets alone, professionals spend millions of hours every day creating presentations. Zapdeck aims to transform this process with our powerful AI software that enables users to create professionally designed presentations in minutes.
At the heart of Zapdeck is the first AI capable of converting text into professional slide design. Our product offers an intuitive editor that allows users to import data and collaborate with others to create a design for their presentation. The slides can be exported at any time for sharing or further editing.
The presentation creation industry is a multi-billion dollar market that is currently undergoing significant disruption due to advances in generative AI. We have partnered with leading consulting firms and agencies for beta testing and are in the process of raising a pre-seed investment to fuel our growth in the coming weeks.
You will be joining a team with excellent training and experience. The co-founders of Zapdeck are Frederik, who was previously a consultant at BCG and Bain and worked as a UX expert at SAP and Amazon Web Services, and Riccardo, a former CPO at the InsurTech startup INZMO and with extensive experience in building AI products.
Tasks
- Implement sales and marketing strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy driving customer acquisition, brand awareness, and revenue growth.
- Establish and optimize processes: Design and refine processes for lead generation, campaign execution, and sales funnel management.
- Manage relationships: Act as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty, and build strategic business partnerships.
- Validate pricing and product strategy: Continuously assess the market and competitor landscape to refine pricing and provide insights for product.
- Oversee online presence and public representation: Manage Zapdeck's online presence across digital channels and represent us at public events.
- Grow and lead a team: Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team, setting goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
**Requirements**:
Professional requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in sales and/or marketing, ideally within productivity/business software or professional services.
- Proficiency in planning, executing, and tracking online advertising campaigns across platforms like Google or LinkedIn.
- Expertise in building and maintaining B2B customer relationships using CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Proven ability to track and optimize SaaS metrics such as conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and customer lifetime value.
- Ideally: Previous entrepreneurial experience with your own startup project or similar entrepreneurial ventures.

- Residency in Germany, preferably Berlin
- Valid work authorization (no sponsorship available)
- Self-driven work style and resilience to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Fluency in German or English
- Ideally: Available to start within a short time frame
