- und frustrierter Magnetismus, multifunktionale Materialien und Supraleitung. Neben dem Betrieb mehrerer Röntgeninstrumente am BESSY-II-Synchrotron beherbergt das Institut auch das Corelabor für Quantenmaterialien, das modernste Materialsynthese und das gesamte Spektrum an Probencharakterisierungseinrichtungen bietet einschließlich Röntgen-Laue
- und Pulverbeugung, Magnetisierung, spezifische Wärme und Transportmessungen. Neutronenstreuexperimente an externen Einrichtungen sind ebenfalls eine wichtige Aktivität, und wir interpretieren unsere Daten in enger Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Kolleg*innen, die theoretische Berechnungen durchführen.

Ziel dieser Postdoc-Stelle ist die Erforschung der neu entstehenden Zustände und Eigenschaften von Quanten
- und topologischen Magneten durch die Kombination von experimentellen Messungen, Datenanalyse und numerischen Simulationen. Als Postdoc erforschen Sie die magnetischen Zustände und Anregungen neuer Magnete mithilfe von Neutronenstreuung und anderen laborgestützten Techniken. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt auf der eingehenden Datenanalyse durch die Verwendung und Entwicklung modernster Methoden. Numerische Simulationen von Quantenzuständen werden ebenfalls eine Rolle spielen, um die experimentellen Ergebnisse zu verstehen und zu interpretieren sowie Phänomene für weitere experimentelle Untersuchungen zu identifizieren.

**Ihre Aufgaben**:

- Durchführung von Neutronenstreuungsexperimenten zur Erforschung, Identifizierung und Charakterisierung von Zuständen und Anregungen in Quantenmagneten.
- Entwicklung modernster Methoden zur Analyse von Neutronendaten und zum Vergleich mit verfügbaren Theorien.
- Durchführung von numerischen Simulationen zum Verständnis und zur Interpretation der experimentellen Ergebnisse.

**Ihr Profil**:

- Promotion auf dem Gebiet der Physik der kondensierten Materie
- vertiefte Kenntnisse auf dem Gebiet des Magnetismus
- hochentwickelte Computerprogrammierkenntnisse
- Erfahrung in der Durchführung von Experimenten zur Neutronenstreuung
