**About our client**

Our client is an expanding concert management company backed by a prominent private equity investor. As a well-known player in the concert and music festival market, they are looking to achieve substantial growth and business development with the guidance of their seasoned investor. They are currently seeking a team lead accounting to join their finance team and provide hands-on support throughout this journey. The role will be based in the Hamburg area, Germany.
**What the job involves**
- Lead the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities (incl. ongoing account reconciliation)
- Develop, reconcile and execute a plan for the target organisation (processes, review intervals, in
- vs. outsourcing)
- High focus on continued process optimization
- Lead by example to ensure highest standards of accuracy and compliance, as well as being sensible towards pragmatic solutions
- Intensify the collaboration between accounting and controlling and contribute to "one truth" when it comes to numbers
- Guarantee timely month end close process, monthly financial statements as well as consolidated annual accounts (HGB and IFRS)
- Provide analysis of financial data and active contribution to data-driven decision-making
- Serve as a key contact for the internal leadership team, tax advisors and auditors, financial authorities and actively engage in discussions
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements and provide hands-on support for audit processes
- Strengthen the collaboration with other portfolio companies and realize synergies (simplify process, e.g. internal recharges)
- Maintain a strong relationship with the holding company's finance team and actively collaborate on financial strategies
- Provide hands-on financial updates and align strategies effectively
- Bring accounting to the next level and drive the implementation of OneStream leveraging tool-based decision making
- Develop and implement hands-on processes for disciplined monthly financial reporting and mitigate financial risks
- Evaluate further insourcing of accounting functions from tax advisors
- Train and mentor the team, actively participate in accounting best practices

**Who we are looking for**
- University degree with a focus on accounting, finance or a related field, or Bilanzbuchhalter
- Professional and leadership experience as an accountant in a in a small
- to mid-cap company with a proven track record of delivering timely and efficient results
- Excellent hands-on knowledge of accounting, tax regulations, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, experience with Datev and OneStream is appreciated, as well as experience within a PE portfolio company
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Analytical thinking and data driven approach
- Highly strategic and commercially-minded, with sound judgment and a hands-on approach
- Results-driven and goal-oriented, with a constant drive for improvement
- Modern, inclusive and empathetic leadership style
- A combination of outstanding analytics with persuasive communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in both German and English
