Accounting Assistant

**Responsibilities**:
Manage and oversee all aspects of our accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in a timely manner.

Conduct regular bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.

Maintain the general ledger, preparing necessary journal entries and financial statements.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline financial processes and improve financial controls.

Liaise with external auditors and manage internal audits.

Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Support the financial team with any ad-hoc projects or tasks as required.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Proficient in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Bank Reconciliation.

Solid understanding of the general ledger and financial reporting.

Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

Excellent numerical skills and the ability to handle large volumes of data.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
