**Location Berlin**
**1. Background**
The Renewables Grid Initiative is a unique collaboration of NGOs and TSOs from across
Europe. We promote fair, transparent, sustainable grid development to enable the growth of
renewables to achieve full decarbonisation in line with the Paris Agreement.
RGI fosters knowledge exchange and the implementation of better practices in nature
protection and stakeholder engagement, provides a platform to discuss grid infrastructure
needs for the sake of the energy transition and engages in related advocacy activities.
**2. Specific tasks**
The Student Assistant will support the RGI Secretariat with the following tasks:
- (Virtual) event organisation
- Editing and formatting of documents
- Writing of short texts/summaries
- Developing presentations
- Social media work
- Desktop research tasks
- Administrative tasks
**3. Qualifications**
- excellent written and verbal communication skills in English,
- an ability to learn fast and to quickly understand new issues,
- an ability to work independently; efficiently; diligently and with an eye for details,
- 15-20 hours of time a week, ideally with a certain level of flexibility to distribute hours
as needed,
- a genuine interest in the energy transition and interest in broader environmental
topics; topical knowledge; communicative skills; engagement within civil society.
