Senior Director Product Area Lead Design

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
- As a Senior Director Product Area lead at Digital Brand Solutions (DBS), you are responsible for the quality and strategic impact of an entire product area of digital products, servicing all Product Marketing and Design teams within Global Brands. Together with your product owners and agile teams, you work on continuously improving and evolving your product area and the entire Brand domain, maximizing the value for our internal customers.- Key Responsibilities:
- Define the vision and roadmap for the product area, considering the value for the relevant user groups in Product Marketing and Design and the entire company.
- Drive the strategic evolution of the product area, in line with companywide strategic goals.
- Ensure that strategic direction is properly translated into the domain/product area strategy and product portfolio and all known constraints and dependencies have been considered.
- Drive IT demand management & prioritization for your product area in the context of the entire Global Brands domain
- Ensure business cases are well prepared to control and monitor performance and results of all investments into the product portfolio.
- Be accountable for the success of the product area, considering the value for the users, and ultimately the consumer and company (ROI).
- Be accountable for product delivery in line with the roadmap and committed delivery dates.
- Identify and solve dependencies within and beyond your area to ensure efficient delivery.
- Ensure the provision of user training & business support for all product in the area.
- Represent the business for your area, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that their views and requirements are captured in the product backlogs
- Act as the ambassador for your product area, showcasing the key functionalities to Business Units and other strategic stakeholders, driving product adoption and assuring operational excellence together with IT peers.
- Manage relationships outside the product area efficiently to ensure that the product teams can work autonomously.
- Drive the evolution of the area backlog in collaboration with product owners in your domain.
- Influence backlog priorities in the own area in line with strategic direction and drive alignment of strategy and roadmap across all stakeholder groups
- Influence roadmaps and backlogs from other areas and domains.
- Assume ownership for the conceptual data model of the product area and drive cleanup of reference data and prioritization of changes needed.
- Build the appropriate structure to be able to manage the organization effectively, identify and develop future talents and create realistic succession scenarios for key positions.
- Promote a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations and individual goals
- Ensure appropriate leadership skills are present at every level by creating a motivational and supportive work environment in which employees are coached, trained and provided with career opportunities through development.
- Provide team members/direct reports with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and strategic objectives.

- Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in business administration or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant business experience
- Min 8 years proven leadership of diverse & global teams and projects in a matrix
- Global Business Unit experience preferred
- Cross-functional business experience preferred (in e.g. Finance, Sales, Operations, IT)
