Engineering Technical Leader

We are currently seeking a highly motivated product developer to support the Kimberly-Clark Professional Global Research and Development Team, focusing on development and commercialization of branded delivery systems and lifecycle maintenance of existing delivery systems. The role would be based in Europe and report to the Senior Manager of Dispensers in the Global R&D team.
The role is critical to ensuring robust dispenser designs based on local customer insights and brand foundations that will create an exceptional customer experience. The incumbent will be a key contributor to produce and test novel delivery system solutions for the target customer. Further, they will work closely with internal and external design and technology development partners to identify ways to rapidly prototype, test, and bring designs to market. This position requires an individual with the ability to think customer globally and communicate across numerous functional groups.
Working with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, and Sales teams, this person will:
- Lead activities associated with explore, feasibility, and technical commercialization stages of product development in delivery systems; linking customer needs to technical solutions.
- Partner with internal and external design and development teams to design, prototype, test, and bring novel delivery system designs to market.
- Lead Tier 1 and 2 customer support work related to existing delivery systems in market.
- Develop robust timelines, manage budgets, and forecast resources
- Plan and carry out project responsibilities with limited assistance and direction
- Communicate and document project plans and results to key stakeholders
- Document and protect intellectual property
**Required**:
- A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related major scientific field or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
- 10+ years of experience in a variety of technical assignments
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes
- A track record of solid project leadership capabilities
- Speaks English fluently.
**Preferred**:
- Experience working cross-functionally with business unit marketing and sales teams on a global basis.
- Plastics and injection molding experience
- Capability in developing strong customer solutions starting from stakeholder requirements through design validation and design transfer.
- Experience with product development and commercialization activities related to plastics and injection molding.
- Experience in quality systems and design for manufacture practices
- Experience working with 3rd party vendors.
- Understanding of Kimberly-Clark products, procedures, and processes
