**THE OPPORTUNITY**

After a strong period of sales growth, Cambridge Associates European business is ready to accelerate its client footprint in Germany and the wider European market. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the growing Munich office to plan and develop a sales strategy and execute it with the support of business development and investment team colleagues.

You will be working closely with the Head of Munich & the European Head of Business Development to create a sales strategy, planning implementation of the sales plan, and execution of the plan to drive new sales in Germany and the wider European market.

As a senior business developer, you will be the ‘face’ of Cambridge Associates for sales in Europe, attending events and developing a network of institutional prospects.

Given the small size of the team you will be given a lot of autonomy to create and build a pipeline of opportunities and is an ideal role for someone wanting to have a material impact on the success of a investment firm within Europe.

Cambridge Associates (CA) is a leading global investment firm providing portfolio management services, both discretionary and non-discretionary to institutional and private clients. We help clients invest across all asset classes but with a focus on Private Investments and Alternative assets.

CA was originally formed in 1973 to provide investment research and advice to a group of major university endowments in the United States.

Since then, our client base has expanded but our fundamental mission has also remained unchanged: we strive to help institutions and private investors around the world meet or exceed their investment objectives through building bespoke portfolios tailored to their requirements.**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Build the institutional business in the DACH region by pro-actively reaching out to targets and organising meetings. The initial focus will be on pension funds, insurance companies and similar institutions
- Attend investment conferences in order to network, build relationships and screen opportunities for engagement and brand building
- Project-manage prospects through the sales cycle, coordinating internal resources and managing deadlines
- Lead the pitch process alongside investment directors
- Support follow-up efforts to ensure prospect and client movement through the business development pipeline

Build and maintain investment knowledge in the area of private markets and show intellectual curiosity

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Business development experience (developing new leads as well as completing requests for proposal and pitches), essential. Ideally gained in an asset management business
- Understanding of alternative investments and private market strategies
