To support our department Legal and Compliance in EMEA, we are currently offering a position as
- Director of Legal and Compliance EMEA (f/m/d)This is a diverse and challenging position. The Director of Legal and Compliance EMEA will be intimately involved in all aspects of the company. There will be sufficient autonomy to initiate programs and directives specific to the EMEA region while aligning with Arthrex global Legal and Compliance strateg. The Director of Legal and Compliance will be working closely with the EMEA leadership and will be a recognized leader in our organization.
Your Tasks
- You will be responsible for protecting the organization's legal and compliance interests and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law, regulation, and industry standards for the whole of EMEA
- You operate under the direction of the Global Legal and Compliance Department heads
- You are responsible for providing legal and compliance guidance to the EMEA Managing Director and senior leadership team
- You give advises on legal/compliance risks associated with particular courses of action and works collaboratively with senior management to mitigate risks
- You are a member of the EMEA senior leadership team and will be involved in EMEA top management meetings/decisions to advise on legal implications/compliance risks
- You manage the Legal and Compliance resources throughout the EMEA region and coordinates with the Inc team to support the enhanced globalization of the compliance program, including providing Legal and Compliance support to the General Managers of each EMEA subsidiary
- You Work with Inc. Third-Party Risk Management team to ensure that due diligence is performed on all new third parties in the sales channel and supply chain
- You support the Compliance Assurance team in performing audits of Third-Parties
Your Profile
- You have successfully completed your studies in the field in law with a graduate of an accredited law school
- When it comes to interacting with internal and external stakeholders, you already have many years of experience in legal and compliance topics
- You have several years of experience in the disciplinary and professional management of international teams
- When it comes to working with our customers, you bring the ability to inspire people in medi-cal education and training
- You have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and also the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- In terms of the EMEA-wide role, you are willing to travel several days each week
- You can communicate fluently in English and ideally are also familiar with German
