Program Director Onshore Germany (f/m/x)

How to contribute to our vision:
We are searching a seasoned project management professional for the role of a Program Director. The role is based in Hamburg and is part of the Project Management Organization of the Onshore Germany Unit. The Project Management team is realizing the contracts for windfarms that have been signed between Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and our customers. The typical contracts would include manufacture, transport and installation up to final commissioning of wind turbines at the customers project site.
- Within this position you will focus on:_
- Lead and grow a team of Project Managers (PM) as Program Director. Their role is to execute the individual contracts with the aim to deliver a project on high safety standards, on schedule, all whilst maximizing project profit and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Coach and develop the Project Managers to continuously improve the project management capabilities in your own team and develop the colleagues delivering the projects
- Create and maintain a structure to the manage a portfolio of projects. Cooperate with the commercial team to be responsible for the monthly forecast of project relevant changes, events and improvements to be incorporated.
- Ensure accountability of all technical matters together with your team: e.g. Support of Sales in the tender phase, as well as adherence to project execution processes and deliverables from the start of the project execution until the Hand-over to Service
- Handling internal and external communication to respective stakeholders as your team will also be instrumental in driving and handling of any claimable events occurring in the lifetime of a project

What you need to make a difference:

- Technical university degree or an equivalent education in business management and / or other adequate technical degree
- Several years of professional experience in international Project Management and a financial overall understanding in project execution.
- A comprehensive track record in the wind industry or a comparable industry
- Experience in managing teams and a portfolio of projects
- Project management certification - preferable IPMA B equivalent or higher
- Proven strong analytical skills combined with the ability to communicate with relevant stakeholders
- Fluent German language skills in speaking and writing
