**The Company**
A world leading energy company and a cutting edge leader in renewables. As their asset portfolio expands into Germany, so does their ambition to achieve significant year on year growth. As part of ongoing investment into focus markets and the need to drive development and construction of existing secured pipeline, whilst originating fresh multi gigawatt opportunities.
**The Role**
As Legal Counsel, some of the duties will be to:
- Support business development and project development teams on the pipeline of renewable energy projects during investment, Co-development, and setting up JVs.
- Assist with commercial negotiations for co-development and partnership agreements.
- Provide legal and commercial advice to the organisation and support management.
- Transactional team work and support closing complex project finance or M&A transactions,
- Negotiate project development agreements, JV, SPV acquisition, and sales of projects; (e.g., power purchase agreement, loan agreement, EPC, O&M)
- Drafting contracts - development, EPC, and O&M. coordination of external counsel.
**The Person**
- Bachelors Degree Law LLB
- 1-2 years experience Legal Counsel within Wind Energy, Utility-Scale Solar PV, Transmission and distribution, renewable energy
- Knowledge of project development, M&A, commercial law.
- General Knowledge in Drafting and negotiating contracts, problem-solving, and dispute resolution
- Communication knowledge, risk management, and contractual negotiation.
- Fluent in German + other languages a benefit.
