Junior Legal Counsel (m/f/d)
We're on the lookout for a vibrant Junior Legal Counsel to become a vital member of our Legal team in Berlin. You'll play a crucial role in facilitating the launch, distribution, and investment into underlying funds, all of which are essential for Moonfare's success. You will:
Support fund launches and ongoing fund management activities from a legal perspective. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation related to fund launches, distribution and investment activities, adhering to regulatory compliance standards and internal policies. Collaborate closely with other teams including Investments, Fund Operations and Commercial to ensure legal requirements are met effectively. Provide guidance and mentorship to working students, offering support and direction in daily tasks and projects. Seek opportunities for process improvement and optimization, striving for operational excellence and enhanced performance. Manage various ad hoc tasks including document due diligence, compliance activities and responding to queries.The next Moonfarian:
1-2 years of experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or financial institution. Exposure to private equity is preferred. Has experience in drafting, conducting due diligence and reviewing legal documentation. Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Proactive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities. Has exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Communication skills in German are preferred but not required. Has an understanding of AIFMD/MiFID.
