As such, our client are now wanting to appoint a new Senior Technical Business Development Manager to realise innovation in new adhesive technologies in practical applications and develop commercial benefit for the business.Objectives:Identify, incubate, and scale new technologies for business opportunities in new markets to drive growth.Leading discovery & incubation projects in cross functional teams and foster open innovation approaches.Building strategic partnerships with open innovation partners and lead customers.Essential Requirements:Educational Background: Possess a high technical educational level, holding a Ph.D. in Material science, Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics. Additionally, an MBA is highly welcomed as well as knowledge in Design Engineering or Design Thinking.Technological Proficiency: Have a minimum of 10 years' experience working in the industry in a technical/scientific role, with later career development in business development, sales, marketing, or entrepreneurship. Possess in-depth knowledge of market dynamics and emerging technologies. Understanding how to bridge customer-specific requirements and adhesive (material) technologies through multi-functional behaviours in system environments.Strong Communication Skills: Excel as a storyteller, capable of persuading and motivating stakeholders to explore technical solutions and translate them into business terms.Innovation & Impact: Demonstrate a track record of fostering innovation within the realm of business development. Experience in a start-up environment is advantageous as well as in open innovation approaches. Show a results-driven approach with a proven track record of successfully executing impactful projects.Growth and Entrepreneurial Mindset: Consistently pursue and drive new business opportunities. Understanding of Accustomed to working in a fast-paced and evolving environment, displaying assertiveness, resilience, and a proactive approach.Relevant Leadership Experience: Have experience managing large teams (>10), either directly or within a cross-functional/matrix organization, for at least 5 yearsThis is a particularly exciting time for the business as it continues to build on its success through leading-edge technology development and the creation of innovative products for customers.This key and senior appointment will enjoy significant levels of autonomy. The successful candidate will enjoy a stimulating and rewarding high profile role with a genuine opportunity for significant career progression.
