Technical Business Development Manager - Sustainable Adhesives
Overview:
A global leader in adhesive technologies is seeking a Technical Business Development Manager to support the development and commercialization of sustainable and functional adhesive solutions. This is a unique opportunity to join an innovation-driven team focused on transforming early-stage technologies into scalable business models across industries such as automotive, electronics, and consumer goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess emerging adhesive technologies aligned with sustainability goals
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to evaluate commercial potential
- Develop proof-of-concept business cases and validate through rapid experimentation
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and research organizations
- Collaborate with R&D and pilot customers to co-develop MVPs and refine applications
- Define go-to-market strategies and lead early-stage commercialization efforts
- Support the integration of validated innovations into core business or spin-off ventures
Candidate Profile:
- Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Experience in open innovation, technology scouting, and strategic partnerships
- Strong technical background and ability to work cross-functionally
- Excellent communication and project management skills
