Role: Senior Vice President Business Development, Permanent.
Direct Report: Executive Vice President and Head of Global Discovery Business Development
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
**Salary**: Competitive salary dependent on experience and qualifications plus we offer a fantastic benefits package and annual bonuses.
Location: Based within Europe, in any of our office-based sites i.e. Germany, Italy, Austria or the UK.

Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Vice President, you will be joining our quality-driven Business Development team, responsible for driving strategic discovery-based partnerships in Asia for Evotec. The position is to be based in Europe (France, Germany, U.K or Austria) and will be responsible for managing a small team as well as external agents to drive Evotec’s business across Asia. Ability to work remotely or maintain an office at any of Evotec’s sites in Europe.
Business Development is an important role for Evotec. You will be part of the Discovery Business Development Leadership Team and responsible for developing, revising, and implementing a strategy to grow Evotec’s business partnerships across Asia.
This role offers the flexibility of hybrid or office-based working. Limited travelling around 25/50% plus an annual global sales meeting held within Europe.
- Drive the overall business development strategy within the territory in close partnership with the Head of Global Discovery, SVP of Development Business Development, and Head of Business Development for Evotec’s Cyprotex business. therapeutic area and platform leadership teams, as well as Evotec’s focused efforts in biologics, panomics and the convergence of AI/ML in drug discovery and development.
- Establish relationships with partners that accelerate research, development and commercialization of their innovative products leveraging Evotec’s best-in-class integrated research and development platform working collaboratively to establish long-term relationships
- Manage and develop a team of at least two business developers with responsibilities in the territory; additionally, develop a strategy for leveraging independent agents as relevant within the territory
Education, Qualifications and Experience (Essential)
- 10 years plus professional business development experience with a proven track record of delivery at senior levels. Strong drive and aptitude to deliver results in teams and drive performance for optimum results.
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in an ADME or toxicology-related area and, or equivalent experience working within a pharmaceutical company, biotechnology, or CRO industry.
- Knowledge of the drug discovery and development paradigm across modalities with a particular focus on small molecule and biologics
- Proven track record, at senior levels, of identifying opportunities and, structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions including strategic alliances, licensing agreements, joint ventures, equity investments, etc.
- Superior knowledge of financial analysis & modelling, corporate and product valuation
- Established network and ability to build a network across pharma, biotech and venture capitalists at senior levels within the region
