D3O is an ingredient brand and sells its products to consumers via brand partners who incorporate D3O technology into protective clothing and phone cases.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Sales Manager who will manage and grow existing key accounts, whilst also winning new business.
You will have an extensive and relevant network of European brand contacts in the Sporting Goods and Outdoors sectors which you will use to develop and implement territory sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
Reporting to the company’s European Sales Director, you will understand the nuances of ingredient brand selling, and have strong sales acumen and relationship building skills.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management: Build and maintain our business with key accounts, that include Scott Sports, KTM and Decathlon, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
Business Development: Identify, pursue and win new business opportunities, leveraging your network within the industry to expand D3O's presence.
Market Insights: Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify growth opportunities and refine sales strategies.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer sales support, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
Planning & Reporting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market analyses to provide insights for decision-making processes.
Travel: Frequent travel (no less than 50% of your time) across Europe to meet with clients, attend industry events, and manage accounts; as well as travel to the company’s Head Office in London as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the sporting goods or outdoors sector.
- Experience of ‘ingredient brand’ or B2B selling advantageous but not essential.
- Proven track record in driving territory growth, achieving sales targets, and consistently exceeding expectations.
- Experience in developing and executing comprehensive sales plans, identifying new market opportunities, and successfully closing high-value deals.
- You will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage and grow a sales pipeline, maintain strong client relationships, and navigate complex sales cycles in competitive markets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in English is essential. Additional European languages such as German, French, or Italian are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Sales Force) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
