Position: Global Commodity Manager - Castings
Location: Hamburg, Germany (with flexible working arrangements)
The Opportunity: Are you ready to revolutionize the castings commodity for e-mobility projects? Join us in shaping the future of automotive manufacturing as our Global Commodity Manager for Castings. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact, with a focus on optimizing our castings procurement strategy and driving excellence in our e-mobility projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead global procurement initiatives for castings, with a focus on optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support our e-mobility projects, ensuring alignment with our company's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to identify opportunities for innovation and value creation.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency within the castings commodity.
- Stay informed about market trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements in the automotive industry to inform procurement decisions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in procurement, with a focus on castings within the automotive industry.
- Deep knowledge of casting processes, materials, and technologies, with a track record of driving innovation and cost savings.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a demonstrated ability to lead global sourcing initiatives.
