Team Lead for the Site reliability engineering – Internal Tools and Platform Operations

We are looking for a Team Lead to lead a team of engineers dedicated to the development and upkeep of our internal tools and platforms. This is a leadership role where you will manage a team of 5 engineers, oversee the creation of internal systems, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects and operations professionals. You will also have a significant role in shaping the platform's architecture and ensuring its optimal performance across various systems.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead, guide, and nurture a team of 5 engineers, including recruitment, performance reviews, and career growth.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of internal tools, ensuring alignment with business needs and stakeholder goals.
  • Act as the primary owner for internal toolsets, ensuring they are functional, scalable, and well-maintained.
  • Contribute to the overall system architecture, ensuring reliable and scalable solutions in collaboration with other technical leaders.
  • Manage incident response, operational workflows, and change management processes to ensure smooth platform performance.
  • Drive ongoing optimization and integration efforts to enhance internal processes and platform capabilities.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and teamwork within your engineering group.


Required Qualifications:

  • Solid experience with Agile methodologies and modern development processes.
  • Strong leadership background with expertise in managing both software development teams and IT infrastructure operations.
  • Strong coding skills, ideally with proficiency in Go (Golang) or a similar programming language.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms, containerization, and orchestration tools, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Extensive experience in managing and deploying IT systems on Linux-based platforms.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); a strong command of German (C1+ level) is highly advantageous.
