Position Summary:
We are looking for a passionate master’s graduate with experience in molecular and cellular biology and synthetic gene circuit design. As a Research Associate, you will work closely with our CTO to construct and deliver synthetic nuclei into human cells, design and test new prototypes, and explore therapeutic applications, including collagen deficiencies and immunological and metabolic disorders.
Duration: One year, with the possibility of renewal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble synthetic nuclei prototypes under our CTO’s guidance
- Perform cloning tasks
- Maintain cell lines
- Conduct basic molecular and cellular biology tasks
- Be curious and have fun
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Master’s, with a minimum of 3 years of lab experience or PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, synthetic biology, bio- or cell engineering, or molecular genetics
- Proficiency in mammalian cell culture
- Proficiency with standard molecular biology techniques: immunofluorescence, qPCR, Western blotting
- Advanced, modular molecular cloning (e.g., Gibson/GoldenGate/BioBrick)
- Experience with RNA or DNA delivery and gene editing is a huge plus
