Country Sales Manager for Germany

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience, with a yearly bonus and car allowance.

Reporting To: Chief Sales Officer

Location: Home-based. Travel throughout Germany, Austria, and other German-speaking countries.


Viridian Solar is a market leader in integrated solar for the UK. With recent success in the European market for our solar system and DC connector safety product, we want to carry on our early work in the German market by appointing someone talented. Many German federal states have now legislated for an obligation to install photovoltaic systems in new buildings and roof renovations from 2025, increasing the demand for integrated solar substantially and creating an exciting opportunity for our products. Viridian Solar is a fast-growing company with exciting times ahead, recently acquired by Marshalls PLC.

Your primary task will be to identify and find new solar opportunities across Germany and German-speaking regions. A large part of this role will be to target house builders and then work closely with the design team to assist these house builders with energy specification requirements. Finding new solar companies in this market will be another task at the top of the list.


Key Responsibilities
  • Finding new housebuilder companies to design, specify and install Clearline Fusion
  • Developing our relationship with existing customers through regular contact
  • Making outbound calls to potential solar installers. These calls may include introducing our products, assisting with designs and arranging meetings
  • Providing quotations and sales to these customers, as required, and following up where necessary
  • Keeping records of people who are contacted
  • Appointment making for factory visits or training
  • Demonstrating growth over the year with your client list
Tasks
  • Visits to builders/ installers/ wholesalers
  • Outbound calling to existing and new client list
  • Finding new opportunities in our sector
  • Being active on social media
  • Making sure CRM systems are kept up to date
  • Working with German wholesalers to open more opportunities
  • National travel, including other German-speaking countries
  • Working with members of the sales team to record and look after incoming enquires from private individuals
  • Give quarterly updates on sales progress and opportunities
