We are looking for a Headof Engineering to join our teams working on our consumer-facingbooking and station management products. You will be part of oursuccess story in delivering unique travel adventures to customersaround the world and supporting our station teams to deliver agreat experience every time.

THE ROLE– YOUR PASSION

  • Youare the disciplinary and technical leader for multiple softwaredevelopment teams.

  • Togetherwith the CTPO, you prioritize needed technical improvements andinitiatives.

  • You areaccountable for the overall architecture of your teams’applications.

  • You evangelizebest development practices in your teams and encourage (and expect)technical excellence.

  • Youare responsible for hiring processes and decisions in theengineeringorganization.

  • You workeffectively with product management and other departments todevelop impactful products and features that meet businessneeds.

  • You question thestatus quo and anticipate opportunities, backed up by data andfacts.

  • As a servant leader,you continuously coach team leads and other direct reports to helpthem grow professionally andpersonally.

WHATYOU NEED TO SURF THE WAVE WITHUS

  • You havesignificant experience as a successful leader of softwaredevelopment teams, including leading engineering managers or teamleads, setting up your teams for success and helping them grow tothe next level.

  • You haveextensive experience in software engineering and systemarchitecture, with a durable understanding of the PHP ecosystem (wework with Symfony), database and storage systems, API-drivenfrontends and mobile apps (we use Nuxt; Flutter for mobile apps),as well durable experience in cloud-computing (we run onAWS).

  • You know what it meansto build and release good software to end users with short andmeaningful feedback loops (detect, mitigate,improve).

  • You have a strongability to align technical strategies with business goals,including resource planning, budgeting and riskmanagement.

  • You have ananalytical mindset, and can drive engineering decisions based ondata and industry bestpractices.

  • You haveknowledge of scalable software solutions that accommodate growth inusers and geographicalmarkets.

  • You have strongcommunication skills including excellent English, and the abilityto communicate with business stakeholders in terms they canunderstand.
