Job Description
Galam Group is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead and expand food ingredient sales across select food & beverage companies, both domestic and international, with a primary focus on Germany. Reporting directly to the VP of International Sales & Marketing, this role is pivotal in driving our growth strategy.
The ideal candidate needs a track record of successful sales in the European food ingredients markets (flavors, sweeteners, dietary fiber etc.), with connections in the core target markets and experience in selling products and solutions to food industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and identification of market potential: Identify potential customers and market opportunities within the food industry.
- Sales Execution: Negotiate terms, close new deals, and build long-term partnerships.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Galam's various departments such as the Marketing, Sales teams, and R&D globally to ensure successful strategies.
- Customer Insights: Communicate market needs to management while showcasing Galam’s innovative capabilities to customers.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 5 years of proven successful experience in a sales position in a B2B environment.
- Strong overview and track record of food ingredients sales to food & beverage manufacturing companies.
- Fluent in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and manage a flexible work schedule.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Home office availability
Education:
- BA/BS required; MBA is preferred.
- A background in Chemistry, Food Science, or Natural Sciences related fields is advantageous.
