This position requires excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of the renewable energy industry.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue from key accounts in the renewable energy sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and drive cross-selling and up-selling activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, engineering, project management, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of projects and exceptional customer service.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key clients to assess customer satisfaction, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in collaboration with the sales team.
- Monitor and analyze key account metrics, such as sales performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability, and take appropriate actions to achieve targets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and providing timely support.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop customized marketing materials and campaigns for key accounts.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our renewable energy solutions and expand the network of potential clients.
Qualification and expertise:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (10+ years) as a Key Account Manager or in a similar sales role within the renewable energy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the renewable energy sector, including solar, wind, and other emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand technical aspects of renewable energy solutions and effectively communicate them to clients.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to handle challenging situations.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
