About this role

The Global Key Account Manager will work closely with the Global Key Account Director to develop and manage a close collaboration and technical partnership with a leading German Tier 1 account. This will result in the highest possible level of customer satisfaction while maximizing sales and profit. The ideal candidate will work remotely from home in Southern Germany or in our Munich office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize sales and profit at the account, taking ownership of relevant KPIs and driving corrective actions if required.
  • Understand the customer's business strategy, opportunities, and issues, identifying opportunities for Nexperia and tailoring the Nexperia Value Propositions specifically for the customer.
  • Understand the formal and informal hierarchy, identify decision-makers at the customer, and establish and develop suitable relationship strategies to improve Nexperia's position at the account.
  • Through a thorough understanding of the balance of power and relationships, create and successfully execute suitable negotiation strategies and tactics in cooperation with the Global Key Account Director and Marketing Teams.
  • Represent and convey the customer needs internally, ensuring adequate priorities are set to execute against strategy.
  • Effectively monitor logistic/quality performance and, if required, delegate issues to the relevant stakeholders within our organization.
  • Ensure that all key internal systems and processes are timely updated with accurate information.
  • Consolidate the above in a Customer Business Plan, clearly communicating expectations and requirements towards Nexperia to meet business targets.
  • Gather and communicate market/competitor information into the organization.
  • Organize technical workshops with the customer and internal Business Review Meetings throughout the year.

Requirements

  • University degree preferably in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years Sales/Marketing experience in Automotive environment with Tier 1 accounts or similar experience as Field Application Engineer, either in the semiconductor industry or in a related business.
  • Detailed technical understanding of Automotive applications is a plus.
  • Solid experience to promote standard-/commodity products.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, result-oriented, customer-focused.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in German and English. Other languages are a plus.
  • Team player with hands-on mentality.
  • Proven track record in working in multicultural/international teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
