What will you be doing
As the Product Manager in Commercial Management, you will proactively manage the product P&L to enhance profitability. You will be accountable for driving key performance indicators (KPIs) across the organization. You will collaborate closely with various functions such as Finance, Sales, Marketing, Strategic Analytics and Operations to jointly identify opportunities and implement these.
- As P&L owner you are the driving force to manage and optimize revenue and costs for all card products
- You effectively devise and implement strategies to increase profit while balancing growth opportunities
- You work closely with multiple teams, such as Strategic Analytics, Sales, Digital and Operations to steer measures which have positive impact on the P&L.
- You analyse customer, market, and competition data to identify optimization potentials and solve customer problems. You prioritise initiatives in line with our corporate goals
- You excel with a structured approach, clear communication, and bring together the expertise of all areas to develop the best possible solutions for our customers
- In everything you do, you always keep customer needs in mind and, of course, have the right mindset to drive commercial initiatives
- You have a convincing and clear presence, and storytelling is second nature to you
What we're looking for
- 3 years of experience in product management in banking, risk management or finance
- Bachelor's or master's degree in economics or finance or comparable
- Proven experience in credit card portfolio management and commercial optimization, along with solid knowledge of credit card business or instalment loans/e-commerce financing.
- You have excellent communication skills and persuasiveness when dealing with interdisciplinary and international stakeholders, as well as C-level management
- You independently evaluate market and technology trends and adapt them for Barclays
- Fluent English skills complete your profile
