Summary

The Sales & Business Development Engineer South of Germany ensures the commercial development of Mobile Water Solutions activities and brand awareness in Germany. Activities include participating in communication actions prospecting potential new customers preparing proposals in cooperation with the process experts negotiating prices developing strategies to boost sales managing the customer portfolio and ensuring commercial followup with customers in order to make them customer for life. The Sales & Business Development Engineer plays a crucial role in business & profitability growth.

The Sales & Business Development Engineer South of Germany reports to the Division Sales Manager Northern Europe.

The role is home officebased position with frequent travel and industrial site visits within the region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifying & prospecting of new potential customers in North & East of Germany
  • Maintaining contact with existing customers and building longterm partnerships
  • Calculating prices based on the standard cost sheet
  • Preparing proposals (technical & process support from Europe Operations Team)
  • Direct strategic sales and negotiations
  • Establishing sales & development plan for the dedicated area with the support of the Division Sales Manager.
  • Implementing specific business development plans (priority customers engineering houses & EPCs IEX etc.)
  • Identifying new markets or fields of opportunities
  • Contributing proactively to the business & profitability growth
  • Building brand awareness
  • Implementing marketing plan (support from Europe Marketing Team) and participating in communication events and actions (webinars seminars exhibitions press articles technical papers)
  • Respecting of CRM use
  • Preparing and actively participating in sales team reviews & reports
  • Respecting Golden Rules (internal procedures contractual terms etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to QHSE policies and standards by fostering a safe healthy and environmentally responsible workplace actively promoting safety initiatives and complying with regulatory requirements as the health safety and environmental wellbeing of our employees are fundamental to our organization.
  • Report any incidents nearmisses or hazards promptly to management and assist in the investigation process to prevent future occurrences.
  • Performs other duties of similar nature and level as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Masters degree or Engineering degree with relevant working experience
  • Technical background in water and/or wastewater treatment (processes & technologies)
  • Experience working in sales & business development in the water and/or wastewater treatment industry
  • Proficiency in English and German to communicate effectively and clearly with both technical and nontechnical personnel including clients team members and management.
  • Knowledge of Google Application Suite and/or Microsoft Office software packages (Excel Word PowerPoint).
  • Capability to work across cultures borders and different methods of executing business within an international team.
  • Possess a valid Drivers License to drive in the region
