The Integrated Analytics team is part of the Munich Re Life & Health (LH) department, serving as a regional data and analytics centre (RDAC) for Europe, UK and Latin Americas. The team is responsible for data, AI and analytics strategy, systems' development, biometrics, data and knowledge modelling, and advanced actuarial analytics topics for more than 50 markets, over 500+ cedents, and 1,500+ active reinsurance contracts. We strategically invest in scalable, easy-to-use data and knowledge technologies to create and operationalize high quality products and services using structured and unstructured data, serving both internal and external clients. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Lead AI and Analytics (m/f/d). You will ensure high quality AI and advanced analytics delivery across all of our markets.

AI and analytics being a fundamental piece of our business, you will champion the topic with local and regional stakeholders, and ensure that business value add is in the forefront via data-driven decisions, enhance risk management practices, and improve overall operational efficiency.

Your Job

Coordinate and support the head of RDAC in Life & Health's AI and analytics-driven transformation strategy and harmonization of the different functional streams, including data management, biometrics, AI/analytics, and underlying infrastructure and systems Establish region-wide processes and prioritization frameworks for AI and analytics initiatives and relevant strategic investments Conceptualize and offer regionally applicable AI and knowledge products and services to internal and external stakeholders along the whole value chain Turn insights into value generation through identifying opportunities for assessing risks, improving existing reinsurance solutions and developing new products, and acting as an interface towards internal and external clients and stakeholders Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams to promote data-driven decision-making culture, and provide training and support to employees on AI and analytics best practices Establish and maintain robust AI and analytics governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure quality, security, and compliance with industry regulations Organize operative tasks, planning resources, providing guidance to the functional teams, coordinating processes, projects and ensuring scalability

Your Profile

Advanced degree in computer science, business administration, mathematics, or a relevant qualification involving a field of science Deep understanding of (re)insurance business processes and the ability to translate AI capabilities into business value of its operations, risk assessment and management Extensive experience in either AI, machine learning, data analytics, and their business applicability in Life and Health business context. Project and/or team leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives, ideally in a technology or data-driven role Strong project management skills with experience in leading complex AI projects from conception to deployment Ability to prioritize corporate initiatives based on business impact, feasibility, and resource availability Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, with the capacity to take responsibility and work independently Familiarity with data privacy and AI regulatory frameworks in the (re)insurance industry Very good written and spoken German and English
