- Develop software and tools for the automated design of analog and mixed signal circuits. Both front end (schematic) design and physical design (analog layout synthesis) are in focus
- Improve existing software modules including refactoring, testing, and maintenance of existing code
- Train and support our worldwide designer community
- Write technical documentation and strive for quality by complying to all relevant quality assurance processes
- Integrate new methods, tool and features into our established design flow
- Challenge our existing processes and devise better and more efficient ways of IC product development and verification
You take in information quickly, evaluate it from different points of view, and uncover hidden correlations in it. Moreover, you listen actively to the customer and consider his point of view, thoughts, and ideas as well as you share information comprehensively and effectively.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related areas
- At least 5 years of work experience in analog-mixed-signal implementation
- Experience in software design development is beneficial
- Experience with scripting for electrical design automation (EDA) applications such as Perl, Python and Cadence-SKILL is required
- Knowledge of the Cadence Virtuoso analog design environment (experience with layout, netlisting and extraction) is desired
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating system (e.g. shell scripting and basic tools) and LSF farms
