Lead Engineer for Analog Design Methodologies

As a Senior Staff Design Automation Engineer, your role will be pivotal in maintaining and refining analog generators for both front-end and back-end design processes, while addressing the requirements of various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative software and tools for the automated design of analog and mixed-signal circuits, concentrating on both schematic and physical design aspects.
  • Enhance existing software modules through refactoring, rigorous testing, and ongoing maintenance of current code.
  • Provide training and support to our global designer community, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation and uphold quality standards by adhering to all relevant quality assurance protocols.
  • Integrate cutting-edge methods, tools, and features into our established design workflows, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Critically assess our current processes and propose more effective and efficient strategies for IC product development and verification.

Your ability to assimilate information swiftly, analyze it from multiple perspectives, and identify underlying connections will be essential. Additionally, your active listening skills will enable you to appreciate customer viewpoints and effectively communicate information.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in analog-mixed-signal implementation.
  • Experience in software design development is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in scripting for electrical design automation (EDA) applications, including Perl, Python, and Cadence-SKILL.
  • Familiarity with the Cadence Virtuoso analog design environment, including layout, netlisting, and extraction.
  • Comfortable working in a Unix/Linux operating system environment, with skills in shell scripting and basic tools.
