Technical Proposals Specialist (m/f/d)

For Lummus Novolen Technology GmbH in Mannheim/ Germany we are looking for a Technical Proposals Specialist (m/f/d) to join our Technology team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analysis of information received from Request for Proposal (RFP) and from Licensing Department
  • Coordination and lead of internal meetings to determine the type of RFP response, content of deliverables and sales strategy
  • Development of customized technical proposals including quality and content such as determination of plant layout, process description, PFDs, sized equipment list, NPV and capital cost estimation, process guarantees
  • Close collaboration with different departments to collate the final proposal
  • Management and monitoring of timelines and milestones from initiation to delivery to meet the RFP
  • Technical discussion and representation of the company in both F2F meetings and video conferences
  • Support of Licensing Department during the entire sales process
  • Ongoing proposal process simplification efforts and tool development to drive productivity gains
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
  • At least 6 years of experience in process engineering, project work, licensing and / or preparation of technical proposals in the petrochemical industry
  • Experience in polymer technology is advantageous
  • Customer focus
  • A structured and diligent working style
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to enable an effective interface to people with different cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to react quickly to changes during the proposal stage
  • Ability to be flexible
  • Ability to handle stress
  • Ability to work on a self-initiated basis
