Research Assistant/Accelerator Physicist

The successful candidate will take responsibility for one or several areas related to the PETRA IV design and operation, such as
- Beam dynamics studies of the PETRA IV main ring and injectors
- Analysis of the influence of magnetic field imperfections on the performance of the PETRA IV machine
- Participation in defining the magnet field quality requirements
- Experimental verification of new algorithms and tools at PETRA III and support of PETRA III operation

About you:- PhD in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences or technology or equivalent knowledge and skills.
- Experience in storage ring beam dynamics
- Experience with accelerator optics codes
- Good programming skills, preferably in Python and C++
- Good communication skills
