Accelerator Physicist

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of software for the commissioning of the PETRA IV machine, as well as designing beam optics for the PETRA IV main ring and injectors. Additionally, they will be responsible for experimental verification of new algorithms and tools at PETRA III and supporting PETRA III operation. The candidate will also conduct beam dynamics studies for PETRA IV.

About You:- PhD in physics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
- Extended experience in storage ring beam dynamics
- Understanding of electron optics correction methods
- Strong background in computing and software engineering
- Good programming skills in Python and C++
- Good communication skills
