Director Global Compensation (m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Take a lead role in the creation and delivery of "best in class" Global and Equity Compensation programs, supporting the delivery of the adidas business and people strategies and in alignment with corporate governance principles. Contribute to the creation and lead the implementation of the overarching Global Compensation strategy. In these responsibilities, work closely with the Lead(s) for Executive, Variable, Equity & Global Compensation.

Lead the end-to-end process design and delivery for assigned annual compensation processes (Salary, STI & LTI), working closely with Rewards Partners and Global Business Services (GBS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design & delivery of Global and Equity compensation programs, in alignment with market practice and the adidas business and people strategies
  • Act as the SME within HR Rewards on all Global Compensation topics
  • Guarantee compliance with all regulatory requirements for global Compensation. Oversee thorough digital tracking and reporting. Monitor the effectiveness and ongoing development these programs
  • Ensure cost and tax efficiency of Compensation programs, in close partnership with Group Finance, Group Tax and Legal. Co-define budgeting and accruals principles
  • Lead global/local project/process workstreams in the delivery of these projects/processes.
  • Apply storytelling techniques to facilitate effective change management and achieve alignment and buy-in, at all levels of the organization.
  • Advise and provide guidance on operational compensation activities, such as grading, benchmarking, compensation packages and transparency
  • Oversee the design and delivery of communication material related to global Executive Compensation programs. Support the consultation with Executives, as appropriate
  • Remain abreast of existing and future trends and implications on executive rewards programs. Provide ongoing evaluation of compensation and executive incentive programs to ensure alignment with market and strategy.
  • Guarantee fair pay practices across adidas Group, in line with the best Corporate Governance Practices
  • Lead a high-performing team of Rewards experts, ensuring continuous development for individuals while role modelling the adidas Values.
  • Manage relationships to and contractual relationships with external vendors relevant to the role
  • Participate in, moderate and represent in external networks

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree or adequate education with emphasis on business or Total Rewards
  • A minimum of 3+ years experience in the areas of Global and/or Equity Compensation
  • Proven executive management influencing skills
  • 8+ years of overall work experience within HR, Compensation & Benefits, minimally twoyear direct exposure to Executive Compensation
  • Experience leading direct or indirect teams
  • Experience working in an international matrix organization
