The Charging Unit at Mercedes Benz Mobility:
With around , employees, Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG (MBM) specializes in financial and mobility services. The offering ranges from financing, leasing, vehicle subscriptions and rental, fleet management to digital services relating to charging and payment, insurance brokerage and innovative mobility services.
This year, Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG will once again focus on the 5 strategic dimensions of MBM 5, one of which is Electrify our future. On the way to "electric only", charging is a decisive factor. We want charging at Mercedes-Benz to become a special customer experience. To build this holistic charging ecosystem as quickly as possible, we are establishing a new Charging Unit at MBM that consists of three pillars: public charging, home charging and business charging.

In the exciting phase of technological change, we as a strong team are responsible for the successful implementation of our topics and thus make a valuable contribution to our "Electric-Only" strategy pillar every day. To achieve this, we work closely together across teams and departments - within the Charging Unit at MBM, but also with our colleagues in Sales, Development and IT. Our way of working is strongly oriented towards agile swarm logic and thrives on a high degree of flexibility and mutual support - even across team, divisional and departmental boundaries. Working together as partners and individual ownership are crucial for us. As are the highest standards for the results of our work, the "joy of constructive discourse" in the interest of the best solution. Our "High Power Charging Technology and eStar NAFTA" team in particular focuses on the customer journey of the Mercedes Benz charging network. We are not only responsible for the definition, concept development and decision-making of off-board charging features. Together with partners and suppliers, we search for and develop new technologies and software products whose testing and release process also fall within our area of responsibility. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a "doer" with whom we can further expand Mercedes-Benz's own high-power charging network and who will be responsible for driving forward the development of our products.

As a development engineer for charging features, you will play a decisive role in shaping the future of electromobility by developing and implementing innovative charging solutions. You are responsible for defining the strategy for your features, designing them and implementing them in the customer journey. You will shape and manage the close cooperation with our research and development teams in the Charging Unit and the on-board areas of the relevant vehicle projects. Your goal is to create an outstanding charging experience that exceeds our customers' expectations and positions Mercedes-Benz as a pioneer in electric mobility.
Your tasks in detail:
Independent project management and concept implementation of a vehicle cloud solution for the management of security certificates for encrypted communication according to ISO - Extension of our existing concepts for certificate management according to ISO -2 for private environments with - certificates Extension of the existing multi-cert approach to - certificates Supplementing installation procedures for the "private environment" Independent coordination of the trades, handling of the SW demand process and the associated milestones and quality gates Interdisciplinary cooperation with the teams from Research and Development (Charging Unit, Mercedes Benz Cars), Smart Charging Solutions and our SW Development department Implementation and realization of our product vision Ensuring that product features are implemented on time, in a coordinated and seamless manner Creation of business cases for products & features to demonstrate financial viability Analyzing data from the operational phase to identify and implement continuous improvements to product and processesYour goal is to maximize customer satisfaction and continuously optimize the product.
QualifikationenWhat we expect:
University degree in IT, electrical engineering, management & technology, or a related field Sound knowledge of hardware-related programming Confidence in the use of common programming languages and simulation programs Several years of professional experience in charging solutions and electromobility Confident handling and application of standards for charging solutions, such as ISO Extensive practical experience in vehicle and drive development processes Experience with stakeholder and committee work Experience in digital product management, preferably in the area of charging services Sound knowledge in the definition of user journeys and business processes Enthusiasm for electromobility (both personally and professionally) High level of personal responsibility and strong conceptual and analytical skills Assertiveness and excellent communication skills Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams Business fluent in German and EnglishWhat we offer:
