During your internship within the Risk Analytics Credit team, you can expect interesting insights into the subject areas of risk management. The topics range from credit risk modeling, portfolio and data analysis and credit risk reporting to the calculation and determination of risk costs and risk provisioning at Mercedes-Benz Bank AG.
Your team colleagues in the Risk Steering & Analytics department have mathematical, statistical and IT skills and develop highly efficient forecasting models for the credit risks of the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services companies in Germany.
During your internship, you will be actively and fully integrated into the specialist and project tasks from day one and you will quickly be given responsibility for your own areas of work. You will gain extensive insight into the management of risks and opportunities of a financial services provider, data analysis and bank management.
Mobile and flexible working from home, as well as joint team events, are just as much a part of the experience for us as fun and full commitment to our tasks and goals. Your start date for the 6-month internship can be adapted to your preferred period if necessary. The internship remuneration customary in the industry is also part of our benefits. Following the 6-month internship, it is possible to work as a student trainee.
Your tasks can include various contents, depending on the assignment to our teams / projects:
Participation in the creation of data and portfolio analyses (Data Science & Data Analytics) using statistical methods with access to large and heterogeneous data volumes of Mercedes-Benz Bank (Big Data) Execution of data analyses using the analysis software SAS, Excel (VBA) and SAP / Bank Analyzer Creation of various risk reporting dashboards with Microsoft Power BI Implementation of reporting processes and analyses as part of the monthly financial statements of Mercedes-Benz Bank to determine credit risks and risk costs as well as risk provisioning in accordance with IFRS and HGB Automation and implementation of monthly ICS processes Execution and presentation of results of analyses to check the plausibility of risk provisioning and risk cost development Carrying out comprehensive validation measures to quantify the default risks of borrowers and individual concentration risks of the loan portfolio based on historical data Active participation in interdisciplinary projects at Mercedes-Benz Bank Participation in further training on our risk models and programming languages Qualifikationen Degree in financial mathematics, mathematics, business mathematics, statistics, economics, business informatics, data science, or a comparable course of study Confident handling of MS Office Confident written and spoken German and English skills Commitment and ability to work in a team Analytical mindset and strategic way of workingAdditional information:
