Junior Data Protection Specialist

What you'll do
  • You'll support the Data Protection Officer in Sky's review and further development of the data protection risk assessment
  • You'll take care of data protection audits, support us with data protection-related inquiries & complaints and advise our internal departments
  • You manage our procedure directory and other central reporting for regular reporting to management
  • You'll manage our internal records of data protection complaints and incidents and our remedial actions
  • Your role is to provide accurate, efficient and high-quality administrative support for general correspondence and day-to-day matters
  • Monitoring the central data protection mailbox, promptly processing all incoming emails and ensuring that they¿re forwarded correctly is part of your daily business
  • You'll contribute to the Group's communication, training and awareness strategy & identify opportunities to improve internal processes to provide a better service to stakeholders and promote efficient working practices within the team
  • You also act as a communicative interface between internal stakeholders & colleagues from the Sky Group (UK/Italy)
What you'll bring
  • You've completed vocational training or a degree, e.g. in IT or business administration, and ideally have practical experience with data protection legislation and the associated procedural rules
  • You've an interest in data protection and IT security in a complex & regulated corporate environment - a data protection qualification such as CIPP/E is an advantage, but not essential
  • You'll be able to understand the data protection aspects of the technologies used to deliver Sky's products and services
  • Your strengths include working efficiently, accurately and calmly under pressure
  • Good written & verbal communication skills distinguish you
  • Excellent German and good English skills round off your profile
