Job Description

The role will be in the finance department of Jefferies GmbH Working, the Regulatory Reporting controller will contribute to the preparation of regulatory returns and be responsible for ensuring the regulatory requirements of Jefferies GmbH are met on a timely basis in accordance with statutory and firm requirements. The role will also entail working closely with our Regulatory Reporting and Product Control teams in London to support on regulatory requirements and product control related tasks to ensure high standards.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

Regulatory:

Support the preparation of regulatory returns to the relevant competent authorities. Work closely with the Risk department and the Business to support the internal risk assessment process. Preparation and review of notifications, periodic and ad-hoc regulatory reporting in compliance with requirements of Bundesbank and BaFin, and any other relevant authority.  Contribute to the preparation of the IFR disclosures and solvent wind-down plan. Direct contact with the supervisory authorities, including ensuring all regulatory queries are responded appropriately and timely. Contribute to projects and change initiatives for a wide range of initiatives span across Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Risk, New Business, and project functions to ensure local regulatory requirements are being appropriately addressed.

Product Control:

Provide cover for wider Product Controllers Team in London including:

Daily PL Production including

Formal P&L production and review.

P&L Explain and commentaries.

Month End work including

Analytical Review & Commentary (P&L and BS).

Contribution to month end reporting packs.

Balance Sheet substantiation.

Reconciliation of reported P&L to ledger.

Qualifications/ Experience

Strong financial and analytical skills. Profound Financial products know how. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Strong technical skills. Minimum years relevant work experience. Fluent in German and English. Self-motivated with ability to deal with multiple commitments / deadlines..
