In Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development, we are shaping the automotive generations of the future. We create innovative products of the highest quality and efficient development processes. In the Diesel Design & Mechanics department, we are responsible for the development, testing and validation of new engines as well as the series production support of Mercedes-Benz 4- and 6-cylinder diesel engines as part of the "Mechanical Engine Control Diesel, Software Development and OM Longitudinal Mandate" team. In our interdisciplinary team, this includes both the classic mechanics in the areas of cylinder head / control unit / valve train - as well as the associated software scopes.
These are some of the challenges you will face:
Creation and testing of powertrain software and application in the vehicle Accompanying the planning, provision of parts and support with engine set-ups Support for test bench engines in continuous operationCollaboration in the assessment and documentation of test bench and endurance engines Setting up and operating applications / measurement technology on test engines and evaluating them Preparation and design of communication documents, reports and presentations Participation and collaboration in workshops, as well as preparation and follow-up work Implementation of projects Qualifikationen Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering or a comparable course of study Confident written and spoken German and English skills IT skills: Confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel, programming skills (e.g. Matlab/Simulink, VBA) an advantage but not essential Commitment, reliability, ability to work in a team, independent, structured way of working, communication skills Analytical way of thinking and strategic way of working Driving license class BPlease note that your internship at this location must include a prescribed compulsory component.
