Your mission

  • You take the lead in GHG Emission Factor sourcing, research and modelling, ensuring thorough documentation for models and calculation procedures
  • You work with colleagues to define the logic behind data calculations and assumptions in line with our carbon footprint methodologies
  • You manage our emissions factor database and calculation services
  • You work closely with both the Product Organisation and Sustainability Team
  • You help to ensure that our tool incorporates the latest advancements in transport chain and corporate-level ESG and sustainability reporting
Your skills

We are looking for: 

  • You have 4+ years of professional experience in sustainability management and carbon emissions assessment
  • You have in-depth knowledge of GHG calculations and reporting standards including GHG Protocol and ISO 14064
  • You have a good level of knowledge of transport related GHG calculations and reporting standards including GLEC and ISO 14083
  • You are familiar with database systems and can efficiently handle large datasets
  • You are experienced in data analytic modelling (including inter- and extrapolation) techniques
  • You have experience in data engineering/analytics or data science, 3+ years
  • You are confident with coding languages, specifically Python, alternatively R or Scala, 3+ years
  • You have experience in SQL, 3+ years
  • You are proficient in English, German is a plus
  • You are a problem-solver, pro-actively finding solutions to complex problems
Desirable would be: 
  • Experience with cloud architectures (Azure, AWS)
  • Experience in B2B software environments
  • Experience with carbon emissions forecasting, target setting and decarbonisation modelling
  • Experience in scientific research methods
 
Educational Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in any relevant discipline
