Local Media Campaign Manager Germany m/f/x

Reporting to the Head of Regional Marketing Strategy and Planning, this individual is tasked with the execution and continuous refinement of our media and campaign plans across the board. You will be responsible for aligning and executing the full-funnel media planning and buying strategies across various paid and owned channels, from awareness to conversions. In this context, you will support planning, negotiating and purchasing ad space, effective audience targeting within the budget and with the right measurement in place.
Based on performance, you will be responsible for optimizing the media and campaign budget, to maximize the impact of our marketing campaigns. Post-campaign you will dive into data to analyze impact and pull learnings for scaling activities in the future. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams as well as internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure alignment with overall business objectives while leveraging market insights to drive regional growth.
Working closely with our performance marketing team you will make sure we effectively play offline and online channels altogether. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, campaign planning and project management abilities, strong analytical skills combined with an innovative mindset, and creative problem-solving to optimize marketing efforts across various channels in Germany. Your contribution will ensure our marketing strategies and campaigns are both innovative and aligned with our broader financial and operational goals.
Responsibilities & Duties
Assist in the development and lead the implementation of German campaign and media plans to support business objectives.
Ensure solid and detailed campaign plans and the execution of these across the board of paid, owned and earned media, for brand to expansion/densification or tactical campaigns, including timelines, budgets and KPIs driving business results.
Manage regional campaign budgets effectively for meeting the overall media buying strategy and optimizing towards campaign and business goals.
Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders from the Partnerships teams over Deals team, Brand Marketing, Performance Marketing and across media and creative agencies.
Brief creative teams to facilitate the development of compelling and relevant campaign content as well as meeting deadlines for deliverables.
Drive the media buying across channels with an integrated full-funnel approach—offline and online, briefing media agency/partners and working alongside the internal media channel teams and managers for an aligned campaign planning, media buying and for meeting overall budgets and goals.
Lead negotiations on campaign level with media agencies and vendors to secure effective ad placements across various channels, including TV, radio, print, and out-of-home.
Track campaign performance, gather learnings, and provide recommendations for optimizing marketing mix allocation in order to maximize and scale impact. For that, work alongside our analytics team to ensure regional media data collection from external parties.
Ensure meticulous campaign documentation and communicate campaign progress as well performance to key stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and local media vendors and partners.
Support the forecasting of campaign outcomes, help set clear objectives, and contribute to strategic long-term planning.
Monitor KPIs to inform marketing investment decisions and strategy adjustments.
Qualifications
5+ years experience in campaign management, strategy planning, and media planning and buying.
Strong understanding of local market dynamics and media landscape, offline is a must, digital is a strong plus.
Proven ability to develop and execute successful media marketing campaigns.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and challenge data and provide actionable insights.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Key competencies in: strategic thinking and the ability to see the big picture, analytical skills for data-driven decisions, media planning and buying skills for optimizing budgets, negotiation skills for optimizing efficiency, communication skills for managing stakeholders effectively.
Excellent German, business fluent English.
