My name is Benjamin Kitzinger. I’m Global Business Manager Automation (MVI, GIN) in Atlas Copco, a world leader in developing and supplying assembly tools and software for Smart Factory and Industry 4.0. I will be your manager located in Germany.
About the job
Your mission is to develop a strong value proposition and business plan to become market leader for solutions for automated tightening applications, supporting and focusing on our General Industry (GIN) strategies and product portfolio. Your mission is also to make sure strategic orders are taken as part of developing the business and product portfolio. This will be done in an entrepreneur spirit in line with the Nail it then Scale it approach.
Your mission includes:
• Drive, manage and coordinate the respective business to secure sustainable profitable growth and reach a leading position in the market • Develop our business plan for tightening centric automation solutions by analyzing market trends and using your knowledge of the Manufacturing Industry to provide direction
• Synchronize and contribute the development plan with the needs and progress of our automation initiative
• Identifying key projects and applications that add most value to the product portfolio roadmap
• Selecting key customer projects and supporting local sales in discussions as an expert
• Initiate and strengthen the network with partners to fill gaps of own portfolio
• Develop sales competencies within the organization to increase hit rate and customer satisfaction
• Support new product launch and sales campaigns local
• Develop together with the product management and the global teams marketing training materials which prove clear customer ROI and value proposition.
• Actively drive communication and cooperate with Customer Centers and key accounts and support them in the strategic sales process
• Home-based in Germany with frequent and flexible physical presence with cross-teams, and your clients globally
You will be part of the global Automation Marketing team and you will work in close and agile collaboration with me and the Automation R&D team in Germany as well as with your global customers (Customer Centers, Application Centers). With their support, you will enable our growth in the automation area, to be “First in mind, First in choice” in the eyes of our customers worldwide.

What we expect from you
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales or business development of technical products with need of explanation, linked to automated assembly solutions
• Experience in General Industry and/or Electronics is beneficial
• Technical academic degree within Engineering or other relevant area and high application knowledge around Automation
• Very good in English and German, speaking and writing
• Team player with good communication skills with different stakeholders, at all levels of hierarchy
• Extensive traveling (>50%) to visit our customers and build competence in the Customer Centers and Application Centers
• Proactive, accountable, and solution-oriented with a collaborative and supportive mentality
