Summary
We are looking for a “Head of Sights (f/m/d)” for the “Business-Line Sights” department at the Wetzlar site as soon as possible.The “Business-Line Sights” division is responsible for hand-held optics / optronics and vehicle optronics as a department of the “Ground Based Systems” business unit.
Your Tasks
Disciplinary and professional leadership as well as individual promotion / further development of subordinate employees (from the product, quotation and project management departments)
Responsible planning and implementation of customer and development projects within the agreed quality, time and cost framework
Planning and development of innovative products and systems in the field of military optronic applications
Creation of product roadmaps and evaluation of market trends and ensuring that these are taken into account in the development roadmaps
Promoting cooperation in the OneHENSOLDT, Optronics and Ground Based Systems divisions
Acquisition support and preparation of offers in the area of responsibility
Overall responsibility for the site
Content-related networking of employees at the site and in the network of the entire company
Achieving set short and medium-term goals in terms of profitability, employee qualifications and the site's reputation
Open communication internally and externally
Your Profile
Completed studies in the field of engineering or business administration or comparable
Many years of practical management experience
Extensive experience in the planning and management of development and production projects
Experience in military use of optical and optronic devices and systems advantageous
Proven ability to manage and motivate interdisciplinary teams
Enthusiasm for new concepts, procedures and development approaches
Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills as well as strong communication and organizational skills
Persuasiveness and assertiveness
Fluent German and English skills
