Summary
We are looking for a “Head of Sights (f/m/d)” for the “Business-Line Sights” department at the Wetzlar site as soon as possible.
The “Business-Line Sights” division is responsible for hand-held optics / optronics and vehicle optronics as a department of the “Ground Based Systems” business unit.
Your Tasks- Disciplinary and professional leadership as well as individual promotion / further development of subordinate employees (from the product, quotation and project management departments)- Responsible planning and implementation of customer and development projects within the agreed quality, time and cost framework-
- Creation of product roadmaps and evaluation of market trends and ensuring that these are taken into account in the development roadmaps- Promoting cooperation in the OneHENSOLDT, Optronics and Ground Based Systems divisions- Acquisition support and preparation of offers in the area of responsibility- Overall responsibility for the site- Content-related networking of employees at the site and in the network of the entire company- Achieving set short and medium-term goals in terms of profitability, employee qualifications and the site's reputation- Open communication internally and externally
Your Profile- Completed studies in the field of engineering or business administration or comparable- Many years of practical management experience- Extensive experience in the planning and management of development and production projects- Experience in military use of optical and optronic devices and systems advantageous- Proven ability to manage and motivate interdisciplinary teams- Enthusiasm for new concepts, procedures and development approaches- Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills as well as strong communication and organizational skills- Persuasiveness and assertiveness- Fluent German and English skills
