Are you studying a STEM degree program and interested in writing a thesis with a strong connection to electromobility? Do you enjoy working at the interface between pre/development, production and quality?
Then an exciting field in the field of plastics technology awaits you from October 4.
We in the process development team for electric drives are part of the planning and production technology center for the powertrain at the Untertürkheim site. In cooperation with the other teams, we provide the latest and most innovative technologies in the production environment and ensure the level of maturity up to the start of series production.
In addition to a wide range of manufacturing and metrological issues, our team also deals with more advanced issues in the areas of development and quality. We also develop innovative manufacturing methods and processes for high-quality powertrain applications. As part of a technology project for future powertrain systems, we are looking for a graduate student with a focus on the development of production technologies in plastics engineering from October 4.
Your tasks include among others:
Literature research in the areas of materials development plastics technology, process development in plastics processing, technology screening of innovative manufacturing processes, etc. Familiarization with plastics technologies for electric motors Test planning, execution and evaluation for process and material development as well as product validation Analysis of manufacturing influences on the properties of high-performance fiber composites Consideration of questions relating to plastics analysis Design, material and technology development for future electric motorsThe final topic will be determined in consultation with the university, you and us.
Qualifikationen Degree in natural sciences, engineering, technology or a comparable course of study with a specialization in plastics technology, materials science, mechanical engineering, lightweight construction, or similar. Confident written and spoken German and English skills Previous knowledge in plastics processing and characterization (DSC, TMA, etc.) advantageous, but not required Confident handling of MS-Office, CAD, programming skills in Matlab/Python/C an advantage Technical affinity and enthusiasm for mobility, structured and goal-oriented way of working Analytical skills, committed approach to work and strong teamwork skills, high level of communication skills Driving license class BAdditional information:
