Scientist for Beamline P23

- Support external and internal user groups during experiments
- Operate and further develop equipment for in-situ and operando research, in particular pulsed laser deposition experiments
- Support user groups in planning experiments at the beamline
- Develop and pursue own independent research projects and participate in collaborative projects with external groups, analyse data and publish results

Limited: 3 years
About you:
- PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science or related fields or equivalent qualification
- Hands-on experience with X-ray diffraction techniques, preferably using synchrotron radiation
- Knowledge and practical experience with pulsed laser deposition technology and equipment
- Good experimental skills and strong interest in instrumentation development
- Programming skills, especially in Python, will be an asset
- Excellent English and team working skills
