Within the Group-wide IT division, the Regional Competence Center department and the Direct Sales team are responsible for all IT systems for central Mercedes-Benz Passenger Car Sales.
Direct Sales combines all sales functions at wholesale and retail level under one roof in an efficient and lean organization. The area comprises the exclusive sale of new vehicles to employees of Mercedes Benz AG (including subsidiaries), as well as the delivery of vehicles via the customer centers. For this purpose, Direct Sales has its own nationwide sales and logistics network with a focus on the plant locations, as well as independent controlling, planning, management and marketing components.
The digital transformation is a top strategic priority for Direct Sales and is being driven forward as part of the digital development. Online sales of the member business has a special role to play here. End-to-end processes designed from the customer's perspective and the use of new technologies are of key importance for the acceptance and therefore the success of the digital transformation.
As part of the digital transformation of IT Direct Sales, the fragmented and outdated IT solutions are being modernized and redeveloped. This includes the transfer and implementation of mainframe components from a monolithic approach to a microservice-oriented architecture with the latest cloud technologies. The overarching way of working between IT and the specialist area is also being redesigned from the classic waterfall model to an agile approach. The aim is to be able to master increasing process and product complexity in the long term and to optimize time-to-market.

These are some of the challenges you will face:
You will support the project management team with a wide range of project management tasks - including, for example, the preparation and follow-up of project meetings, the preparation of status reports, risk management, scheduling and much more You act as a point of contact and actively engage with colleagues in Germany and abroad You bring new impetus to the project team and the department You accompany the transformation of our department and support cross-functional teams in the process Qualifikationen You are studying for a bachelor's / master's / diploma degree in an IT-related subject such as business informatics, economics (with a possible focus on IT) or computer science Ideally, you already have some experience in project work or PMO tasks or are willing to acquire such experience You communicate fluently in German and English in an international environment across locations You quickly familiarize yourself with different topics and are willing to go the extra mile for the success of the project You challenge the status quo and tackle necessary changes independently - you don't get lost in details, but focus on the essentialsAdditional information:
