The roughly 2, employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment handle terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.

Your responsibilities:

Global optimization of strategic procurement for transport services under consideration of high requirements in respect to cost, quality, and availability according to Hapag-Lloyd’s strategy – thereby, specialization in two transport categories out of feeder, rail, barge, truck, and depot Joint strategic planning, coordination, and global implementation of transportation procurement projects (mainly tender, but also other cost reduction initiatives) together with regional procurement organizations and local experts as well as methodological and operational support during the projects Methodological and functional lead of respective procurement categories worldwide Identification and processing of external and internal market analyses as basis for transport procurement strategy development Exchange and continuous development of procurement and negotiation methods and tools as well as active consulting of internal stakeholders for optimal application Controlling of global KPIs for transport procurement and support for Regions and Areas during their annual budget planning Safeguarding of internal communication on all hierarchies

Your profile:

Degree in procurement, transportation, business administration, and/or logistics Extensive strategic procurement and negotiation experience Experience in implementation of manifold negotiation concepts and methods (e.g., eAuctions)  Project management skills and experience, excellent self-management High engagement as well as self-reliant, target-oriented working style Very good analytical skills Team player Very good MS Office skills Business fluent in English Multinational and multicultural experience Availability for global travel, also on short notice
