Insurance Product Manager

As an Insurance Product Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of our insurance products. You will leverage customer insights, market trends, and data analysis to contribute to the design and implementation of a competitive insurance products in collaboration with underwriting, sales, cyber security, and insurance partners.
- You’ll oversee the development and continuous improvement of insurance products
- You’ll use customer, market, and data insights to define new products and product improvement opportunities
- You’ll develop new and existing insurance product roadmaps and take responsibility for coordinating the successful product implementation from idea to launch
- You'll team up with all project stakeholders to clarify requirements for product business and tech implementation
- You’ll act as the subject matter expert in insurance for the tech team and support with the product technical configuration
- You’ll create and maintain all product related documentation needed to support the selling process
- You’ll continuously monitor product performance, make necessary adjustments, and identify opportunities for improvements and growth
- Experience: Minimum of two years in an Insurance Product Development position or three years of work experience in an insurance job in operations and process related departments, or consulting in the insurance industry
- Understanding of Insurance: Good knowledge of the insurance industry, including products, processes and workflows, regulations, underwriting guidelines, rating systems, actuarial principles, and market trends
- Data Analysis: Strong ability to analyze market data, customer feedback, and product performance metrics to inform product development and strategy. Proficiency in using Excel (Sheets), Tableau, Looker etc. for analyzing market data and product performance
- Project management: Proficient in planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills. Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality. Proficiency in software tools used in product management: Jira, Asana etc
- Language skills: Proficiency in German and English
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders, internally and externally with insurance and distribution partners
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate cross-functional teams towards common goals
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during product development and implementation
- Strategic Thinking: Capacity to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to capitalize on these opportunities
- Decision Making: Ability to make informed decisions, often with limited information, and take accountability for the outcomes
