Right now, we are looking for a Director of Group Accounting and Tax (m/f/d) to join our team at KNIME in Konstanz or Zürich.*

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's/Master's degree or training as an accountant or auditor/CPA. You are also familiar with Swiss GAAP (Swiss OR) or German GAAP (HGB) and ideally also have experience with Swiss GAAP FER for consolidation topics as well as consolidation know-how. In addition, knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP would be great. 
You bring basic knowledge of taxation (income tax, VAT, transfer pricing) and ideally experience with controlling topics. You are familiar with terms such as recurring revenue, MRR/ARR, NRR and churn or you are open to learn more about this software knowledge. 
Ideally, you have some initial experience in leading a (small) team or have already managed larger projects and would like to develop yourself further. You communicate openly and honestly, and the team's success is more important to you than your own. Finally, you bring good German and English skills.

That's the job

As Head of Group Accounting and Tax at KNIME, you will be responsible for all financial issues (day-to-day business, projects, staff management). In this role you will report directly to the CFO of KNIME and lead a qualified and highly motivated finance team of 6 employees. You are motivated to take responsibility for the Group's accounting (with subsidiaries in DE, CH, USA) and to continuously develop its processes (reporting, planning, business support) and tools.
Together with your team, you will be responsible for the monthly and annual financial statements and oversee topics such as transfer pricing, development cost capitalisation and revenue recognition. You consolidate the results of the individual companies with our tools from Odoo in Lucanet and help with intercompany reconciliations.
In your role, you will ensure efficient liquidity management and take responsibility for projects. You will also be available to banks, auditors and tax advisors as a competent contact person. 
If you would like to work remotely, you will need to be willing to come to the Constance office regularly, as the team is based there.
